Language

“Language” refers to the way we talk and understand language. This includes expressive and receptive language. Expressive language is the ability to communicate thoughts, ideas and feelings using words, gestures and symbols. Receptive language is the ability to understand and comprehend language this also includes listening and reading.

Ages 0-75

Language difficulties and disorders can impact individuals across a broad age range, highlighting the importance of assessment and intervention throughout one's life. Early intervention for children with language difficulties can significantly impact their communication development, while intervention for adults aims to improve language and communication skills.
